Ring of Cork Tourism Seminar & AGM, Wednesday 4th December at 10.30am at Midleton Distillery Experience.

The Ring of Cork is set to hold its annual Tourism Seminar and AGM on December 4, 2024, at the iconic Midleton Distillery Experience. This event promises to be a focal point for tourism and business professionals across the region, offering a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and engage with key industry figures.

The seminar will kick off at 10:30 a.m. with a registration and networking session, followed by the AGM and main presentations from 11:00 a.m. to noon. This year’s seminar theme centres on enhancing tourism potential through international connectivity and top-tier visitor experiences.

Kevin Cullinane, Deputy Director of Communications at DAA, which operates Cork and Dublin airports, will be the first speaker. He will present “Unlocking Tourism Potential: Enhanced International Connectivity Lifts Us All,” focusing on how improved global connections can elevate the tourism industry in Cork and surrounding areas. With his extensive experience in aviation and communications, Kevin will offer valuable insights into the importance of international links for local growth.

David Byrne, Director of Midleton Campus at the Midleton Distillery Experience, will also share his expertise. His talk, “Driving Tourism in the Area through a World-Class Visitor Attraction.” He will talk about the Midleton Distillery Experience since 1992; the Redevelopment Project; Driving Tourism in the area through a world class visitor attraction.

The event will conclude with a networking and light lunch session from noon to 12:30 p.m., allowing attendees to discuss the topics covered and explore potential collaborations.
