Local Festival & Event Fund Now Open

Ring of Cork

This funding programme has been expanded to support both festivals and events and offers an enhanced programme to help stimulate economic growth, celebrate local culture, and attract domestic visitors to Cork County.

Eligible organisers can apply for grants of up to €6,000 to:

  • Extend the tourism season.
  • Attract domestic visitors.
  • Create long-term value for the local economy.

Additionally, a supplementary grant of up to €1,500 is available for festivals and events that incorporate sustainable practices.

Key Information:

  • Application Deadline: Monday, 20 January 2025, at 5.00pm.
  • Eligibility: Events must generate at least 150 visitor bed nights, incur a minimum expenditure of €7,500, and be located within the geographic boundaries of Cork County.
  • Categories Supported: Heritage, music, family, food, Halloween, and sporting events, among others.

Applications will be assessed based on criteria such as programme quality, marketing strategy, delivery capacity, visitor experience, and commitment to sustainability.
