Ireland’s longest seafront boardwalk, Youghal Boardwalk is a 7km trail that contains a hardwood panelled beach walkway, stretching from Front Strand Beach to Claycastle Beach and beyond to Redbarn Strand. It is totally disability-access friendly with interspersed seating along the route, making it ideal for wheelchair users and child buggies. This wonderful amenity, whatever the season, is the perfect place to takes one’s daily constitutional, getting lung fulls of fresh sea air.
Note that during high tides the boardwalk may not be available, especially in rough weather or winter. We recommend checking the high tides before visiting.
