The Hidden Sauna Bridgefield is an outdoor retreat nestled in natural Irish woodland on Bridgefield Farm just outside Castlemartyr village in East Cork. A place where people can go to unwind and leave revitalised after taking a break from the busyness of everyday life.
Facilities include 12 person sauna, a large cold plunge (fed from the cold spring water of the Dower river which flows from a nearby cave.) private changing room area, 85 square metre woodland studio that blends in with the natural environment, quirky designed outdoor shower and a funky 70s caravan (HSE inspected & certified) which serves Bell Lane coffee, herbal teas and toasted sandwiches. The mature woodland provides a natural private space in the East Cork countryside.
The Hidden Sauna Bridgefield was the result of an idea when the Smyths discovered that their sixteen-year-old ash forest became infected with Hymenoscyphus fraxineus better known as ash dieback disease.
