Youghal Medieval family fun Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary and it takes place this Sunday, 21st August in the stunning and historic gardens of St. Mary’s Collegiate Church. The Festival is one of the key events funded by The Heritage Council of Ireland and it continues to deliver unique and innovative heritage themed activities each year.

Youghal Medieval Festival will be welcoming back many old friends and favourites, such as , the White Horse Living History Society, with their enthralling battle re-enactments,  Wool Spinning, Coin Striking, Medieval Foods, we even have a hairdresser that will give you a Medieval hair do!   As always a few surprises are thrown into the mix.  A back to basics policy of the organisers sees dozens of children immerse themselves in arts and crafts; with shield making and painting being the most popular.  If you come in medieval costume all the better!
There is a very exciting programme of events for the 2016 Youghal Medieval Festival that is being held within the town walls at St. Mary’s Collegiate Garden. Lots of family fun too.

Youghal Medieval Festival is a FREE family day out. Medieval-Festival-2016-Programme
