The Youghaloween Spooktacular returns for the 2022 season in the stunning medieval town of Youghal, Co. Cork is a festival like no other. It is a place where the spirit of Samhain exists, it is a place that celebrates our celtic roots of Halloween. Check out the details below:

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
FRIDAY 28TH OCTOBER
7pm OPENING CEREMONY at theMall Beach. Come to the Mall Beach where the Spirit of Samhain truly exists. Watch as a gathering of witches perform a truly magical ritual and call An Bhean Uisce home from the Otherworld. Follow her with a lantern parade around the town led by Youghal Pipe Band then return back to the Mall Beach where there will be spectacular fireworks and more!!!
8:30pm BRU NA SI: CEILI NA NOG featuring a host of traditional Halloween party games
SATURDAY 29TH OCTOBER
12pm-5pm JACK O’LANTERN MARKET Barry’s Lane. Enjoy the fine food stalls as well as the spellbinding atmosphere as you meander through our magical market. Pop into the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry for a spell or two. Call into The Viking Armoury and paint your own shield and sword and much more…
12pm-5pm THE WITCHLING SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZADRY Barry’s Lane Cauldron bubble, cauldron brew, come and meet the Hogwarts crew. Charms, brews, and magickal potions, join us in our witchling notions. €5 and family discounts.
12pm-5pm THE VIKING ARMOURY Barry’s Lane. Call into the Viking Armoury and paint your own shield and sword. Learn some interesting facts about Vikings that you may not have known… €5 per item and €8 for two.
1pm-5pm THE WITCHES ARE BACK HOCUS POCUS MUSEUM at Flavins Shoe Shop. Come if you dare into the Sanderson Sister’s lair where Cauldrons bubble, and spells and potions abound! Test your knowledge and take our quiz and find out how much you know about the Terrifying Trio! Visit Professor Umbridge’s Office, The Dark Arts room and see where poor Harry had to sleep under the stairs and much, much more. €5 entry and family discounts. All proceeds go to the Festival.
4pm HAUNTED HAPPENINGS IN YOUGHAL – GUIDED TOUR from the Tourist Office. Take a chilling tour around ‘Haunted Youghal’. Youghal is steeped in supernatural history – Ghost ships have been spotted out in the bay and many have heard the cries of the Banshee. A spirited tour which will show you Youghal in a different light Dare to be there! Free event.
7pm at BRUNA SI SEILE SAMHNA AGUS OICHE GHAELACH. Party night with music by Ceolta Si agus a chairde. For adults only. EMBARK ON YOUGHALS WITCHY MYSTERY TRAIL. FOLLOW THE X MARKED ON THE MAP, SCAN THE QR CODE AND DISCOVER WHAT LURKS WITHIN. MAPS AVAILABLE AT THE WITCHLING SCHOOL

4pm-5.30pm CHILDRENS HALLOWEEN PARTY at the Red Store. Join in the fun at the Red Store Halloween Party with traditional Halloween games, prizes for me and more. Continues afterwards to the Mall Beach for The Closing Ceremony. Free event 6pm CLOSING CEREMONY at Mall Beach. Join us in the haunting setting of the Mall Beach as the witches and the ravens say a beautiful farewell to An Bhean Uisce. For now she must return to the Otherworld for another year where she will work on the hopes, dreams and wishes of the people of Youghal. You can feel the magic in the air as she once again retreats back to her watery grave with the help of the boatman … all to the beautiful sound of haunting flute renditions. Eoin O’Dwyer will give a wonderful, light-filled POI performance to light her way home.
