From the Tiny Baby Boos to the Moan and Grown-Ups, the Spooky Town Halloween experience promises a fantastical fun day out for the whole family when it opens this October in the enchanting woodlands of Fota Island Resort.
From the moment you arrive stay close together – you never know who could be lurking behind you in the shadows! Make your way through the streets of Spooky Town, passing haunted graveyards and pumpkin patches before arriving at the Spooky Town Hall to meet the local Mayor, the mesmerising Count Derekula! But remember, keep your eyes peeled as there’s lots more amazing characters to meet from Wendy the Witch and Dawn of the Dead to Paddy the Pumpkin and Mumford the Mummy. The inhabitants of Spooky Town have problems that need to be solved, immersive experiences for you to enjoy and tricks and treats at every turn.
Boo the crew and carve out some goulish times this October by making the most of Spooky Town and the beautiful five star Fota Island Resort with an overnight stay for two icky groan-ups and two up-to-no-good mischievous children. Tickets to Spooky Town will be waiting on your arrival and don’t worry, under the beds will be checked for any luxury-loving monsters! After a brilliant day of fun in Spooky Town keep the Little Boos entertained until bedtime with a visit to Fota Wildlife Park, swim time in the hotel’s leisure centre or playtime at the Fota Evening with party games, movies and more. Which leaves the Groan-Ups with time to enjoy a relaxing drink together in the monster-free Amber Lounge. Fa-boo-lous!

What can you expect at Spooky Town?
Spooky Town is returning to Fota Island Resort. Spooky Town is a “not so scary” Halloween experience suitable for the young and the young at heart. Meet Spooky Town residents such as Derekula, Frankie, Wendy the Witch and lots of new characters to guide you on your way. Expect to be entertained for approximately 45mins to 1 hour.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are priced from €14 – €18.00. Children under of two are free of charge (proof of age may be requested). Price differs according to the date and time of your booking, with peak time slots attracting the higher prices listed.
Is there a charge for babies?
There is no charge for children under 2 years old. If your child’s height exceeds 90cm, you will be requested to present documentary proof of age.
When will Spooky Town take place?
Spooky Town will begin on the 25th October and run until 31st October 2019.
What time are the booking lines open until?
The opening times for our reservation phone lines are Monday – Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9.30 am-5pm and Sunday 9am-3pm. When calling outside of these times, you are welcome to leave a voicemail. Our staff will return your call.
What time are the booking slots?
These will vary from day to day and availability will depend on demand – check your required day for the availability that suits but remember to keep an eye on our Facebook; Instagram and Twitter for details of more times as they are released.
Can I add more people to my booking slot?
Yes, depending on ticket availability. Tickets are sold in 15min slots. The slots are not exclusive to a single group. Up to 90 tickets are available per slot.
Can I take my own photographs at Spooky Town?
When visiting with Spooky Town, there is an opportunity to take an official photograph with a customised background in one of the Spooky Town houses. Family portraits are taken by the official Haunted Photographer and will be presented in a Halloween themed folder. You are welcome to take photographs around the remainder of the experience and indeed there are a number of staged areas ideal for this opportunity. Remember you can book your official Spooky Town photograph in advance online on check-in or at the photography booth during the event.
Will there be sensory friendly timeslots?
Yes, sensory friendly timeslots are 27th October open from 6:15pm and 6:30pm with 50 people in each slot. Your booking confirmation will indicate that you have reserved a sensory friendly timeslot. The Spooky Town experience lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour..
Can I dress up for the event?
Yes, the Spooky Town residents will love it if you dressed up.
Will I receive any treats?
The experience is structured like a crystal maze, where the character will issue you with codes and stamps as you progress through the experience. When you reach the Spooky Town City Hall, you can present your card to Ichor in exchange for a treat.
What happens if I miss my booking time?
The event is run strictly to time. Please ensure that you arrive on time for your chosen slot as we cannot guarantee that another time will be given. Should you arrive early, there is a Halloween market to keep entertained. You could also visit the Golf Clubhouse and the hotel. (Please allow ample time for traffic and parking).
Prams and pushchairs
There will be a “Pushchair Park” available at the event. Prams and pushchairs are limited during the event due to the nature of the Spooky Town paths. Please speak to a member of staff if needed.
Wheelchairs and Guide dogs
Both are welcome at Spooky Town please speak to the car park attendants for directions and assistance to wheelchair accessible parking.
