The Spike Island 5km road race returns on Saturday April 14th for its second year, allowing visitors to compete in Ireland’s most unique 5km race. Advance booking only. What other run involved a ferry journey to the start line and begins and ends in a 200 year old Fortress, taking in a heritage island as its route?
Boat will depart at 4pm and 5pm, with race time at 6pm and returns at approx 7pm and 7.30pm. Those on the first 4pm boat have the option of a short guided tour of the Fort. Race entry of €20 includes the return ferry, tour if on first boat, race entry and water / fruit and medal at the finish line. Last years event sold out very quickly, please book your place asap.
