The Mid May Arts Festival is an artist led festival, which began in 2014 and is based in the heart of Midleton town. The Mid May Arts Festival develops, manages and delivers an annual art festival in consultation with the local community.
The festival will be a vibrant, welcoming and creative opportunity for all people from Midleton and beyond to participate in the cultural life of our community, expressing and celebrating their creativity. We will provide opportunities for participants to connect, learn, act and reflect through creative processes. The festival will embrace and showcase all facets of the arts such as film, fine art, sculpture, craft, music, literature, poetry and drama. The ongoing purpose of the festival is to normalize the practice and exposure of the arts in our community. Moreover, we will promote artistic practices as a catalyst for change, and as a positive medium for self expression and reflection
