Hot on the heels of the sell-out success of Enda Walsh’s ‘The Same’ at the old Cork Prison, comes Corcadorca’s new show, ‘Far Away’ by Caryl Churchill, taking place on Spike Island as part of Cork Midsummer Festival 2017. This unique event begins as you board the ferry at Kennedy Pier, Cobh to journey to the island for a promenade performance of ‘Far Away’ with the impressive military backdrop of Fort Mitchell.
Due to ferry capacity audience numbers for ‘Far Away’ will be strictly limited and early booking is strongly recommended. Please note ticket price includes return ferry fare from Kennedy Pier (Cobh) to Spike Island – therefore we advise ensuring arrival no later than 9.30pm at the pier for departure. Please also note this promenade-style performance takes place outdoors, therefore appropriate clothing and footwear is advised.
