Also on the 14th of April, from 2-4pm, Canadian artist-in-residence Sara French will lead Passtime Possibilities, a workshop for kids ages 10+ about making games with nothing but their brains and bodies. French is a conceptual artist who employs sculpture, performance, drawing and writing to conjure subversive projects for the everyday. The culmination of her residency comes on April 21st, when French will transform the Greywood dining room into The Last Vault, a pub for all ages where money has no meaning, no value and no place. Visitors will have to barter a story, song, joke, trick, or game to gain an artisan beverage made during the residency. To conclude the evening, French will perform a play set in a post-tender world.
