The 2023 Whitegate Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will commence from the village from 12pm and the start time is 12.30 pm
he route will involve the floats gathering on the New Road and leaving from there and travelling down into the village turning left up the village over along Trabolgan road back down the main road to the village and turning right back into the village again. There will be increased activity in the village from 10.00 am on the morning of the parade.
The parade itself has now well established itself as one of the leading village parades in East Cork and each year the number of entries has increased, as has the crowd in attendance. We are very much looking forward to the event and hope that this year’s event will be as good if not better than previous years.
As part of our event traffic management plan we are asking all of the residents on the route of the parade if they could ensure that there are no vehicles are parked in the areas outlined in Red on the map which is printed on page two of this letter on the morning of the parade. The reason for this is to ensure that the parade can run off smoothly and for health and safety reasons.
I would like to thank you for your assistance and cooperation with this event in the past and if there is any further information or queries you have please do not hesitate to contact me and I will glad to assist in any way I can.
We look forward to seeing you all on Friday in Whitegate for what promises to be another great day in the village.
